Tasty Turkey Chili
This is our favorite chili recipe! It has a really tasty blend of spices and is thick and comforting. We love it for game days, winter days, rainy days, summer days, it never gets old. I noticed we’ve had lots of cans of green chilies at Birch which are a must in this recipe!
What You’ll Need
1 lb ground turkey
1 large onion, diced
2 large bell peppers, different colors makes it pretty!
1 can garbanzo beans, drained
1 can red kidney beans, drained
1 can white kidney beans, drained
1 can green chilies
1 can black beans, drained
1 can whole tomatoes
1 12-oz can tomato sauce
1 6-oz can tomato paste
1 can of corn or a cup of frozen corn
3 Tbsp chili powder
1.5 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp oregano
2.5 Tbsp cumin
⅛ tsp all spice
⅛ tsp cloves
2 tsp salt
How to Make Them
Brown the turkey with the onion and peppers. While those are browning, open and drain the cans, measure the spices, and add everything into a crock pot or multi cooker.
Slow-cook on low for 6 hours, or on high for 2 hours, or under high pressure for 10 minutes with a natural pressure release.
Serve with your favorite chili toppings such as cheese, sour cream, avocados, tortilla chips, and/or green onions. Enjoy!
