Chicken Protein Bowls
BCS Financial Literacy Counselor, Katie, is showing us how she meal preps one of her go-to chicken protein bowls! Start with your favorite rice base, add in black beans, add pre-cooked chicken, then feel free to add any other ingredients you have on hand to bring it all together.
All of these ingredients are easily found at BCS and make for easy, healthy meal prep options. Affordable and tasty!
What You’ll Need
Rice of your choice (quinoa, brown rice, white rice, etc!)
Black beans
Diced chicken (or your protein of choice)
How to Make it
Start by adding your choice of rice to the bottom of your container.
Layer black beans right on top.
Add your favorite protein—diced chicken is a simple, healthy option that works great here.
Freeze until you’re ready to enjoy a quick, easy meal.
