Easy Protein Jar Salad

Katie, our BCS Financial Literacy Counselor, is sharing an easy Protein Jar Salad—featuring black beans she found right here at BCS. A practical, budget-friendly option that turns what’s available into something filling, balanced, and ready for busy days.

What You’ll Need

  • Ranch dressing (homemade or pre-made) or another sauce of your choice

  • Diced tomatoes

  • Diced red onions

  • Avocado

  • Black beans

  • Garbanzo beans

  • Hard boiled eggs

  • Diced chicken

  • Lettuce

  • Cheese for topping

How to Make It

  1. Start by adding your ranch (or dressing of choice) to the bottom of your jar.

  2. Next, layer in your diced tomatoes, red onions, avocado, black beans, and garbanzo beans.

  3. Top it off with any extra protein you like—hard-boiled eggs or diced chicken are great options.

  4. Finish with your favorite toppings, like lettuce or cheese.

  5. Pop it in the fridge until you’re ready to enjoy!
