Welcome to Birch

A place where anyone can build financial stability with confidence and support

Birch is a financial education program for those who are working hard but feel financially stretched.

With guidance and support,
you’ll work toward stability by:

  • Following a budget

  • Saving for emergencies

  • Paying down debt

  • Communicating about money

  • Building habits that support stability

  • Creating a Family Vision that guides decision-making

We walk alongside participants as they build skills, confidence, and momentum over time.

Birch is designed to meet you where you are and support steady progress over time. You don’t need to have everything figured out before getting started. The sections below explain the core pieces of the program and the support participants receive along the way.

  • A four week financial education course that teaches budgeting, saving, communication, and long-term planning.

  • One-on-one support that helps participants set goals, stay encouraged, and stay on track.

  • Households receive weekly shopping support that stretches their budget and gives them the breathing room to focus on building strong financial habits.

Weekly Shopping Helps You Reach Your Goals

Food support is a financial tool that makes it easier to practice the skills you learn at Birch.

Many households are able to significantly reduce grocery spending, often by 50 to 75 percent or more, creating breathing room to focus on goals like paying down debt, building emergency savings, and reducing financial stress.
