Summertime can be filled with on-the-go activities and chaotic schedules, so having a list of quick and healthy go-to meals is a must. If you don’t already have rice bowls on that list, then now is your chance to find out why that needs to change.
Rice bowls are the perfect way to get a lot of different healthy ingredients in one quick meal— and every family member can customize them as they see fit. By making up a large pot of rice and creating a buffet of tasty mix-ins, you can have a fantastic meal for any number of people.
Start your item mix-ins with some grilled chicken, beef, pork, or tofu. Then cook up your favorite vegetables or even some fruit. Add some nuts, herbs, and seeds for a crunch. Finish things off with a hot sauce, plum sauce, or other sauce you can find in the Birch shop each week.
The possibilities are endless when it comes to variety, quality, and effort you could put in. Have guests or family members with allergies? They can fix their bowl to fit their dietary needs without concern. What would you put in your rice bowl?
