Classes at BCSI

Personalized computer help is now available the first and third Friday of each month from 1:30 -3:30 PM in our new Computer Lab in warehouse #3.

Unless otherwise specified, all classes take place at the Birch Community Services Warehouse located at 17780 NE San Rafael Street Portland, Oregon 97230

•       Cooking Breakfast Birch Style  

  The next classes begin Saturday, September 18, 2010 from 10:00:00 AM - 1:00:00 PM Are you weary of waking up to cold cereal and the smell of burnt bagels again? You'll want to wake sunny side up and attend this class that combines the fabulous talent of our very own Amy Guillen with the variety of products found at Birch Community Services. Come and learn new, timely, and economical ways to enhance your family's breakfast choices. A $10 refundable fee holds your place in this class that will be Saturday, September 18, 2010 from 10 am to 1 pm.  Class size is limited to 12.   The next classes begin Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 7:00:00 PM - 9:00:00 PM Good $ense curriculum is based on Christian principles and designed by the Willow Creek Association* to help you make a measurable difference in your life. If you and your spouse are committed to putting order to your financial life, we encourage you to participate in this life-changing series. These meetings are facilitated by Egbert Kunrath (past president of the BCS Board of Directors) who is an insurance/investment counselor. Egbert will be available to answer any questions that come up during the Good $ense course. ** *This is Christian-based curriculum  ** A $15.00 workbook fee is the only cost for this class  The Fall session of the Good $ense class begins Thursday evening, September 23, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m.  This series continues on consecutive Thursdays for a total of six evening classes. •       Money Maniac Couponing Class  

  The next classes begin Monday, October 04, 2010 from 6:00:00 PM - 7:30:00 PM Using the Money Maniac System for Coupon and Other Outrageous Grocery Strategies, written by Jessica Richardson and Kim laRue, Kadie Hambleton will facilitate this enormously profitable seminar. It will be presented in four segments on Mondays, October 4, 11, 18, and 25, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at the BCS  warehouse. Jessica will come and share about the best local stores and resources during the final class. A fee of $10, refundable at the completion of all four classes, holds your spot in this seminar that is sure to fill up quickly. Class size is limited to 12.
